Printmaking Workshops

In these printmaking workshops geared towards homeschoolers ages 7-12 – students will be encouraged to explore this medium slowly and mindfully; an abundance of supplies will be provided and there is no need to rush or complete.

Join us for one workshop or the entire series. Workshops are $25 or $60 for all three. Register via the form below.

Session 1: Friday, October 14 @10am: Relief Printing

Description: Young artists will explore and experiment with relief printmaking techniques resulting in a unique framed print to take home.

Session 2: Friday, October 21 @10am: Textile Patterns

Description: Young artists will create their own unique printing stamps to explore patterns and rotational symmetry. Students may choose to create a Furoshiki fabric gift wrap, handkerchief or wall hanging.

Session 3: Friday, October 28 @10am: Monoprinting with Gelli Plates

Description: Young artists will explore and experiment with a colorful printmaking technique utilizing gel plates and natural elements such as leaves, ferns and flowers. An abundance of practice prints will be made and can be saved to create collages, greeting cards, journals and much more.
