8-week (drop off) literature study of The Hobbit this Fall led by instructor Christine Martinez.

This is a small Waldorf-inspired class for ages 7-11yrs. During this 2-hour program we will explore the first 10 chapters in a multitude of ways. After reciting a welcoming morning verse, we will engage in movement games, listen to the story, craft, write, draw or paint and even act out scenes! This will be the first of a two-part series.

We will be reading a version best suited for young readers with beautiful and gentle illustrations. We’d recommend reviewing the storyline before committing to joining us (found here).

Christine Martinez is a former private school teacher turned homeschooler and holds a Masters in Early Childhood Education. She hopes to provide a comfy space for our community of homeschoolers to gather and dive deep into a wonderful story full of whimsy!
